Yealink T58W Pro - Quick User Guide

This guide provides the step-by-step procedure on how to use Yealink T58W Pro


1. Power LED Indicator – Indicates phone power and indicates voicemail statuses.
2. Line Keys – Use to activate up to 10 lines and assign features. In a touch-sensitive screen.
3. Soft Key - Label automatically to identify their context-sensitive features.
4. Keypad – Provides the digits, letters, and special characters in context-sensitive applications.
5. (Mute Key) Toggles and indicates mute feature.
    (Headset Key) Toggles and indicates the headset mode.
    (Redial Key) Redials a previously dialed number. Scroll through the displayed information.
6. Speakerphone – Enable speakerphone mode.
7. (Message Key) Accesses voice mails.
    (Hold Key) Places a call on hold or resumes a held call.
    (Transfer Key) Transfers a call to another party
8. Volume – increase or decrease call volume


BASIC CALL FEATURES

Placing a Call

Using the Handset:
  1. Pick up the handset.
  2. Enter the number, and then press the Send soft key.
Using the Speakerphone:
  1. With the handset on-hook, press 
  2. Enter the number, and then press the Send soft key.
Using the Headset:
  1. With the headset connected, press  to activate the headset mode.
  2. Enter the number, and then press the Send soft key.
Notes
Note: During a call, you can alternate between the headset, hands-free speakerphone, and handset modes by pressing the Headset key, the Speakerphone key, or by picking up the handset. Headset mode requires a connected headset.

Answering a Call
  1. Pick up the handset.
  2. Press the Speakerphone key 
  3. Press the Headset key 
Notes
Note: Reject an incoming call by pressing the Reject soft key.

Ending a Call

Using the Handset:
  1. Press the End Call soft key or hang up the handset.
Using the Speakerphone:
  1. Press the Speakerphone key  or the End Call soft key.
Using the Headset:
  1. Press the End Call or the Headset key.

Redial
  1. Press  to enter the placed call list, press  or  to select the desired entry, and then press  or the Send soft key.
  2. Press  twice when the phone is idle to dial out the last dialed number.

Mute a call
  1. Press the  button to mute or unmute the microphone during a call.

Place a Call on Hold
  1. Press the Hold soft key during a call. 
To Resume a Call:
  1. If there is only 1 call, press the Resume soft key.
  2. If there are 2 calls on hold, press  or  to select the desired call, and then press the Resume soft key.

Transferring Calls

Blind Transfer
  1. Transfer a call to another party without waiting for the other party to answer.
Semi-Attended Transfer 
  1. Transfer a call when receiving ringback.
Consultative Transfer
  1. Transfer a call to another party after speaking to the other person.

To perform a blind transfer:
  1. Press the Transfer soft key during an active call. 
  2. Enter the number you want to transfer to.
  3. Press the B Trans soft key.
To perform a semi-attended transfer:
  1. Press the Transfer soft key during an active call. 
  2. Enter the number you want to transfer to, then press Send
  3. Press the Transfer soft key when you hear the ring-back tone. 
To perform an attended transfer:
  1. Press the Transfer soft key during an active call. 
  2. Enter the number you want to transfer to, then press Send
  3. Press the Transfer soft key when the second party answers.
To transfer the call directly to voicemail:
  1. During a call, press the More and look for Send VM soft key, enter the extension, and select Transfer.

Call Conference
  1. Place a call to the first party.
  2. When the first party answers the call, select Conference to place a new call.
  3. Dial the second party’s number.
  4. When the second party answers the call, select Conference again.
Notes
Note: You can split the conference call into two individual calls by pressing the Split soft key.

Checking Voice Mail
  1. Navigate to Menu>Message>Voice Mail>View Voice Mail.
  2. Highlight an account then select Connect.
  3. Enter your voicemail PIN. (Default PIN 2860)
To access your voicemail using a different extension:
  1. Using a different phone dial *124.
  2. Enter your voicemail box (e.g. 100).
  3. Enter the voicemail PIN.

Call Forwarding
  1. Press the Menu soft key when the phone is idle, and then select Features Call Forward.
  2. Select the desired forward type:
    1. Always Forward
      1. Incoming calls are forwarded unconditionally
    2. Busy Forward
      1. Incoming calls are forwarded when the phone is busy.
    3. No Answer Forward
      1. Incoming calls are forwarded if not answered after a period of time.
  3. Enter the number you want to forward to. For No Answer Forward, press  or  to select the desired ring time to wait before forwarding from the After Ring Time field.
  4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.

Speed Dial

To configure a speed dial key: 
  1. Press the Menu soft key when the phone is idle, and then select Features>DSS Keys.
  2. Select the desired DSS key, and then press the Enter soft key.
  3. Select SpeedDial from the Type field, select the desired line from the Account ID field, enter a label in the Label field and then enter the number in the Value field.
  4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.
To use the speed dial key:
  1. Press the Speed Dial key to dial out the preset number.


CUSTOMIZING YOUR PHONE

Call History
  1. Press History or navigate to Menu>History.
  2. Select the desired list.
  3. Select the desired entry.
  4. Tap after the desired entry.

Contact Directory

To add a contact:
  1. Press the Directory soft key when the phone is idle, and then select All Contacts.
  2. Press the Add soft key to add a contact.
  3. Enter a unique contact name in the Name field and contact numbers in the corresponding fields.
  4. Press the Add soft key to accept the change.
To edit a contact:
  1. Press the Directory soft key when the phone is idle, and then select All Contacts.
  2. Press  or  to select the desired contact, press the Option soft key and then select Detail from the prompt list.
  3. Edit the contact information.
  4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.
To delete a contact:
  1. Press the Directory soft key when the phone is idle, and then select All Contacts.
  2. Press  or  to select the desired contact, press the Option soft key and then select Delete from the prompt list.
  3. Press the OK soft key when the LCD screen prompts “Delete selected item?”.

Note: You can add contacts from call history easily. For more information, refer to Call History above.

Volume Adjustment
  1. Press  during a call to adjust the receiver volume of the handset/speakerphone/headset.
  2. Press   when the phone is idle or ringing to adjust the ringer volume.

Ring Tone
  1. Press the Menu soft key when the phone is idle, and then select Settings>Basic Settings>Sound>Ring Tones.
  2. Press  or  to select Common or the desired account and then press the Enter soft key.
  3. Press  or  to select the desired ring tone.
  4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.
